What is the Matrix? Workshop

NETS*S 2 Focus Communication & Collaboration

NETS*S 2. Communication & Collaboration

Students use digital media and environments to communicate and work collaboratively, including at a distance, to support individual learning and contribute to the learning of others. Students:

  1. interact, collaborate, and publish with peers, experts, or others employing a variety of digital environments and media.
  2. communicate information and ideas effectively to multiple audiences using a variety of media and formats.
  3. develop cultural understanding and global awareness by engaging with learners of other cultures.
  4. contribute to project teams to produce original works or solve problems.

Overview

This workshop addresses the importance of designing learning experience with NETS*S in mind. The focal point for this workshop is a lesson designed utilizing NET*S Standard 2 - Communication & Collaboration.

The lesson for this workshop is part of a developing series that will investigate the inner workings of the Internet and the programs we use. In Part 1 we ask, "What is the Internet?" In exploring this question, learners develop and use communication and collaboration skills along with technologies including computers, Google Search, microblogging, and mobile devices.

  • Engage in NET*S Standard 2 focused lesson.
