Educator Team Focus Area(s):

The goals of our professional development are to encourage and support the integration of technology in the classroom, specifically in the use of technology by students. Rather than concentrating on hardware and software, we will encourage teachers to embrace technology as an engagement tool. Teachers should assign more authentic, real-world projects and challenges that involve the use of technology to develop and present a product demonstrating learning and understanding. We also look to encourage the use of new technologies being implemented at SCSD, including Mimios, remote personal responders and mini laptops.
