Overview

Join educators from around New Mexico in a day long mini conference. Explore 21st century learning through hands on workshops and find out how you can support the development of 21st century skills in your students. This event is free and open to all NM educators (we do require pre-registration) and is brought to you by the Consortium for 21st Century Learning, supported by federal Enhancing Education Through Technology funding.

  • 1:00-4:00 Workshop 2
  • 4:00-4:30 Closing

 

Benefits

  • Participating in your choice of two hands on, half day workshops (eg: Digital Storytelling, Interactive Whiteboards)
  • Integrating and assessing the NETS (National Educational Technology Standards) with the NM Content Standards and Benchmarks
  • Connecting to a network of resources for tech savvy educators in New Mexico (eg: RETA Webinars, ISTE, Conferences, and more)
  • Networking with other educators who are integrating 21st century tools in their classrooms 

 

Cost

 

  • There is no cost for registration. Pre-registration is required for this event.
  • $10 donation requested for hospitality services (including morning snack, deli-style lunch, and afternoon snack) will be provided by Carrizozo High School Culinary Arts program.

Session offerings will be determined by registration data. Proposed topics include

  • Digital Storytelling
  • Student Radio Broadcasting
  • Interactive Whiteboards 
  • Integrating Zunes in the Classroom 
  • Integrating iPod Touch in the Classroom 

 

Certificates will be issued for attendees.
